Dunlop raised the question of Maori players being called away to play in the Prince of Wales Cup matches. He mentioned that last season a representative game arranged in the Bay of Islands had been ruined by a number of players going to Auckland to take part in the trial games. The chairman said he agreed that owing to the hurried selection the competition had interfered somewhat with representative games. Several players j had only been allowed to participate j on the assurance that such conditions j would not arise again. It would be . unfair to debar Northern natives from j taking part in these games. The Xorthern Wairoa delegates j asked for the annual game against j Auckland to be played at Dargaville i

this year. v This request Avas granted. The balance sheet showed a credit of £27 2s 4d, although the year commenced with a credit of £l6O 11s. It was stated thut the principal cause of the diminution was the North Auckland team’s tour, Avhich cost £157, and only realised £6O. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. A. E. Harding; president, Mr. L. J. Brake; vice-presidents, all presidents of sub-unions; secretary, Mr. W. C. Coote; treasurer, Mr. 11. E. G. Smith; auditor, Mr. AV. A. Given; selectors. Messrs. S.
