GIRLS' COMMITTEE MEETS The annual meeting of the Victoria League Girls' Committee was held in the Eeague rooms on Tuesday evening, Mrs. L. S. Rickerby presided over a large attendance. The report and bal-ance-sheet of the year was read and adopted. The chairman Congratulated all members on the work accomplished during the year. Among the activities for the year were weekly visits to the children’s wards of the Auckland Hospital. Entertainments were given at the Auckland Infirmary. Evelyn Firth Home, Seamen’s Mission and Alother’s League. Bridge parties were given monthly at the Evelyn Firth Home, and dances and bridge parties were given in aid of various organisations. Pictures, toys and scrapbooks and dolls Were made and sent to children in the baekblocks. and over 300 garments were made and sent to the Rev. Jasper Colder for distribution among the poor. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: Chairman, Airs. L. S. Rickerby: hon. Secretary. Miss Kathleen Aicken: hon. assistant-secre-taries, Aliases Alarpory Cerutty- and Betty Stevenson: hoQ. treasurer, Alias KaUileea JxnatU
