NORTHCOTE PROGRESSIVE LEAGUE SOCIAL AFTERNOON The tenth anniversary of the Northcote Women’s Progressive League, which took the form of a social afternoon, was held in' the Parish Hall on Thursday, and was presided over by Airs. AlcLaughlin. After the business was concluded the following contributed to a musical prograimme: Misses George, piano duet; Aliss Johnston (London), recitation and song; Miss Peace, song, and Mrs. May, recitation. All the performers were heartily encored and accorded a unanimous vote of thanks. Afternoon tea brought a very pleasant afternoon to a close.' Apologies were received from Mrs. Campbell (Alayoress), Airs. Williamson 'Mayoress of Takapuna), Mesdames Gordon. Black, Axford, Brown, Lee, McGrath, and Righton.
