WOMEN’S INSTITUTES ALBANY BRANCH FORMED In spite of shorty-notice and inelentent weather on Wednesday, nineteen women of the Albany district assembled in the'Memorial Library to be addressed on th!e Women’s Institute movement by Mrs. Irwin, one of the organisers of the Auckland Federation, and Mrs. Blakeway, president of the Greenhithe branch. After hearing the interesting addresses it was unanimously decided to orm a Women’s Institute in Albany. The following oificers weit elected: .lesdames Bruton (president), Phillips, •fcClymont, Richards. Collins, Schofield committee), and Aliss* Potter (seci^eIt was decided to nominate one of he members of the institute for the chool committee at the forthcoming lection.
