LABOUR MAJORITY?
OPTIMISTS’ FORECAST MAY BE LARGEST PARTY (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Thursday. The “Evening Standard’s” analysis of the prospects of Labour members of the House of Commons in the General Election shows that optimists, on an average, expect Labour to have an absolute majority of 2S members. The preponderance of forecasts, however, are content in making Labour the largest party, but dependent on the Liberals to hold office.
