ART STUDENT’S SUCCESS
AUCKLAND GIRL IN LONDON THE winning of a bursary in the A first half-year of her studentship at the Slade School of Art, L. ondon, is the unusual achievement of Miss Jocelyn Mays, late of .Devonport. Miss Mays was a pupil at the Eka*n School of Art, Auckland, and .left New Zealand last July, begamiing her course at the Slade School in September. A bMU-sary is rarely handed to a student of such short acquaintanceship with the Slade School, the recipients being usually students of .(Fom three to four years’ standing.
