Flu Suspected in Mounteds’ Camp
THREE CASES SENT TO HOSPITAL “NO NEED FOR ANXIETY” (From Our Own Correspondent) PUKEKOHE, Friday. J Reports are in circulation that influenza is prevalent at the Auckland Mounted Rifles camp at Waiuku. A SUN reporter investigated the position this mornI ing and found the stories groundless. | A few men entered the camp on Monday last suffering from colds and were kept under observation by the medical officer. Lieutenant J. A. W. Robertson and eight trainees were i evacuated to their homes yesterday. Thi’-ee of them were suspicions cases and were dispatched to the Auckland ! Hospital. Only three sick men were in camp this morning out of a total of 300, and the medical. officer gave his assurance that thsere was no need for anxiety.
