ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
RANGERS CLUB MEETS The secretary reported to the annual meeting of the Rangers’ Football Club at the Y.M.C.A. last evening that during the year steady progress has been made, the membership haying more than doubled that of the previous year. The prospects for the coming season were good, several new players and members having joined up. The finances were in a very sound position, and the club could look forward to a successful season. It was decided that the number of teams be increased to three, and that the club’s sound position and record last year as runners-up in the second grade A section warranted it applying to the A.F.A. for senior status in the newly formed senior division. Officers were elected as follow: President, Mr. J. J. Wright; vicepresidents, Messrs. W. S. Pratt, A. J. Entrican, A. C. Hallett, J. McKain; secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. W. Barnett; management committee, Messrs. J. J. Wright, E. Parkinson, S. NT. Hallett, C. Hall, C. W. Barnett; delegates to A.F.A., Messrs. J. McKain, sen., J. McKain, jun., and A. E. Smith.
