SHOT DEAD IN STREET
CAROUSAL’S TRAGIC END SYDNEY UNDERWORLD DRAMA SYDNEY, Sunday. There was a tragic sequel early this morning to a carousal at Darlinghurst, John Connolly, aged 28, a pastrycook, being fatally shot. A number of Connolly's companions, men and women of the underworld, were beard quarrelling in the street after the party. Then the report of a shot rang out and they scattered and disappeared.
