FREE WORKERS STONED
RIOTING AT ADELAIDE MOUNTED TROOPS CHARGE ADELAIDE, Thursday. Futlier rioting occurred to-day at Port Adelaide. About 800 waterside workers and 50 women rushed the Corporation Wharf and hrew stones at volunteer workers who were loading the steamer Lanena. Mounted troopers arrived on the scene at a gallop and used their batons to some purpose. They inflicted head wounds on many of the rioters, wno scattered in all directions. Two policemen were injured with stones. Two of the rioters were arrPThe Lanena was moved into the stream to avoid further trouble.
