“WAR BOGEY” ADVOCATED
RUSSIAN DISSENSION CURE RED ARMY SAFEGUARD (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) MOSCOW, Thursday. The chairman of the Third (Communist) International, M. NT Buekarin, delivered a lengthy address at a conference of village indu-srial informers. Tie advocated the propagation of the war “bogy” as the best means of welding the breaeh between the towns and villages, which he said was the greatest internal danger now threatening the Soviet. “The workers and the peasants may not be able to fathom the designs of the Joynsori-ITickses. the Mussolinis, the Poincares and the Pilsudskis of this world,” said Buekarin, “but they would understand them more easily if the Soviet were to press its village agents to carry out the important duty of explaining that the Red Army is the best safeguard against the White Guards—the former landowners whom the capitalists intend to use as a spearhead against the Soviet.”
