TWENTY-ONE YEARS’ WORK

THE REV. A. A. MURRAY HONOURED PRESENTATION FROM CHURCH For 21 years the Rev. A. A. Murray has worked on behalf of the United Evangelical Church in Auckland. Last evening members of the church met In the Orange Hall to celebrate this record and to honour Mr. Murray. On behalf of the congregation, the Rev. J. FarquHarson Jones, of the Mount Eden branch, presented Mr. Murray with a fine silver rose-bowl and Mrs. Murray with a bouquet and a leather handbag. It was announced that the office-bearers had decided to buy a motor-ear for the minister’s use as soon as he returned from a holiday which he is about to take. Many speakers, including Mr. Farquharson Jones, Dr. W. H. Pettit! the Rev. A. S. Wilson and Mr. A. w! Campbell, secretary' of the church" spoke of the work that Mr. Murray had done. Mr. Murray replied, giving a sketch of his life In Auckland since his arrival, when he was minister of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. A short musical programme was given.
