AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS Stock auctioneering- firms report on sales held throughout the district during the past week as follows: Alfred Buckland and Sons, Limited, report:—During the week v,*e held sales at Westfield, Pukekohe and Kumeu, pig sales at Waiuku and Pukekohe, also one clearing sale. There was a heavy yarding of cattle at Pukekohe, and average entries at other places. All classes of cattle continue to be in demand, without alteration in values. Best dairy cows, recently calved or at profit, £l2 to £l6 ss; second-grade cows, £9 to £l2; others, ; £4 to £S 15s; best springing heifers, £lO to £l3 10s; others, £5 10s to £9 10s; empty young cows, £5 to £6 15s; store and boner cows, £3 to £6: heavy prime fat cows and heifers, £8 10s to £lO 10s; lighter fat cows and heifers. £6 to £8 7s 6d; fat steers, £lO 10s to £l4 ss; fresh conditioned 4-year-old steers, £lO 5s to £ll Is; 3 to 4-year-old steers, £S 10s to a. 10 2s 6d; 2 to 3-year-old steers, £7 10s to £8 10s; yearling to IS-months-old , steers, £d 10s to £7 7s: yearling to 2-yeur-old Polled Angus heifers, £t> to £8 10s; cows with calves, £6 10s to £9 15s: yearling to IS-months-old dairy heifers £6 10s to £8 for best, others £4 10s to £b as; heavy bulls, £S 10s to £l2; sound > oung herd bulls, £7 7s to £ls 15s; other bulls, £2 to 10s.
