MR. THOMAS F. RYAN DEAD (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (United Service) NEW YORK, Saturday. The death has occurred of Mr. Thomas Fortune Ryan, financier, aged 77. He has left an estate, estimated to be worth more than £60,000,000. Thomas Fortune Ryan, one of the most powerful of American financiers, was a man whose acute business mind led him to explore to great profit the mysteries of banking, railways, tobacco, insurance and numerous other affairs. Tie began at the foot of the ladder, and rose to the very top, never looking back after he had secured a seat on the New York Stock Exchange. He was a Roman Catholic, and he made many spleftdid gifts to his Church.
