INMAN LEADS LINDRUM
BILLIARDS W LONDON (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Saturday. Fred Lindrum, in his billiards match *ith Inman yesterday afternoon, did not reach his top form. Often he had to struggle to gain a top of the table position. He spoilt one or two promising situations. In the evening he improved greatly and made four big breaks. One included 41 close cannons. His day’s total was 1,436 to Inman’s 976. This afternoon Lindrum seemed to b« too eager to excel the previous evening’s excellent display. He took liberties which spoilt several of his visits to the table. Inman, who four times left Lindrum uouble-baulks, gave a fine display this evening. Lindrum made the best of every opening, and was unlucky to spoil the biggest break of the day by mis-euing a little screwback cannon. Inman leads at the half-way stage by t>46 points.
