Mr. and Mrs. R. Beck, o£ Rotorua, are at the Grand Hotel. Mr. and Mrs*. R. Copeland Smith, of Wellington, are staying at the Central Hotel. Mr. J. Henrys, racing handicapper, arrived from the South by the Limited this morning. The lion. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, arrived in Hamilton this morning from Wellington. Mr. B. 11. Ilartland, district railway traffic manager, Wanganui, arrived in Auckland this morning by the Limited. Mr. K. Casey, divisional superintendent, North Island Railways, returned this morning from a visit to Napier. Mr. and Mrs. Y. H. Sherwood, ol! Wellington, and Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Oudaille, of Hamilton, are staying at the Star Hotel. Captain 11. Hilton, marine superintendent of the Canadian Government Merchant Marine, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. J. I j. Black, of the staff of the Otorohanga Railway Station,'has been transferred to Frankton Junction. Mr. Black is well known as an amateur golfer. Mr. and Mrs. H. Cadness, of Northrote, left for Dunedin last evening. Mr. Cadness will attend the Masonic Conference to be held there as a delegate from the Onewa Lodge, Northcote. Mr. H. S. S. Kyle, M.P. for Ricrarton. arrived from the South by the Limited this morning, and is staying at the Star Hotel. With Mrs. Kyle he will leave for Wliangarei tomorrow. The Rev. T. W. Armour, minister of Knox Church, whose second son was drowned at Sumner yesterday, was accorded a vote of sympathy by the Presbyterian General Assembly to-day. The Presbyterian General Assembly to-day accorded motions of sympathy to the following ministers, who are ill: the Rev. George Locliore, of Whangarei; the Rev. M. Miller, of Helensville; and the Rev.
