EDEN RUNS UP NEARLY 400 AGAINST SUBURBS

POSTLES GETS A CENTURY A line opening partnership by Postles and Mills which put 120 on the score-board, went a long way toward Eden’s big first innings knock of 378 at Eden Park on Saturday, in response to United Suburbs’ initial score of 200. The most pleasing feature of the match to supporters of both teams was that Alt' Pasties, the dauntless Eden batsman, reached three figures during the afternoon. His performance recalled his big effort late last season against the same team (and if memory serves aright on the same wicket), when ho got to 09.
