BOY IN DIFFICULTIES
EXCITEMENT AT TAKAPUNA ATTRACTION OF NEW PONTOON Saturday afternoon swimmers at Takapuna attracted by the new diving pontoon included a young boy who found himself in difficulties when he attempted to return Jo the styore. The Takapuna Life-saving jnd Surf Club made its first “save,” a member hastening to his assistance and bringing him ashore. In ijs possession of a diving pontoon Takapuna Beach is now on a par with other leading North Shore beaches. This addition to the attractions of Takapuna is solidly constructed, and is the result of united effort of members of the Surf and Life-saving Club. Most of the material required was found by the management of the North Shore Transport Co., Ltd.
