TORPEDO HUON FOR AUCKLAND
TITRS. I. E. SWEETAPPLE, the Auckland lady owner, has completed negotiations for the purchase of the Australian pacer Torpedo Huon, and the six-year-old son of Black Huon and Crystal Clare will leave Sydney on December 14 for Auckland. He will enter Jack Shaw's stable at Ellerslie, and ail going well, Torpedo Huon will carry the popular black and cherry jacket at Alexandra Park during the Christmas carnival. The Australian pacer ran unplaced off a 3.24 mark in his last start at Epping, the event being won by Talisman in 3.31.
