REFUNDING DEPOSITS
POWER BOARD’S DECISION SATISFACTORY CONSUMERS BENEFIT That consumers’ deposits of 10s be returned at the end of two years from the date of receipt of deposit, providing the account has been satisfactorily settled during that period, is the decision reached by the Waitemata Power Board. In accordance with notive given at the previous meeting. Mr. S. E. Kennings moved in that direction at this morning’s meeting of the board. The motion was seconded by Mr. A. E. Greenslade. who said he would prefer that deposits be not collected at all. In answer to a question from a member, the chairman. Mr. J. W. Hayden. said that no exceptions would be made, but the secretary would be responsible in the future for the selection of “safe” customers. The motipn was carried unanimously.
