CAR HITS VERANDAH-POST
ACCIDENT IN QUEEN STREET Yesterday morning: a five-sea ter motor-car going down Queen Street swerved, and crashed into an iron verandah post opposite the Victoria Arcade, and came to rest on the footpath. with the post, broken in the middle, lying across the bonnet' and hood. The bumper bar on the car absorbed most of the shock, so that, except for a broken head lamp and a dented bonnet, the car was hardly damaged.
