FRANKNESS DISLIKED
INDEPENDENT LOSES SUPPORT WOULD VOTE FOR ANY PARTY (From Our Own Correspondent) RAETIHI, To-day. At Raurimu last evening Mr. J. Georgetti, Independent Reform candidate for Waimarino. was asked in the event of the Labour Party occupying the Treasury benches, on a vote of no confidence, would he vote to keep the Labour Government in power. Mr. Georgetti replied that he would* vote for any party until it refused to give him what he wanted. The Raetihi district supporters of the Reform Party later held a meeting in view of this answer and decided to cancel its previous decision to support Mr. Georgetti, and use its influence to assist Mr. R. W. Smith’s return.
