Round the Churches

A special Armistice Day service will be held in the Cathedral, Parnell, to-morrow morning. The service will begin at 10.45 a.m., and the speaker will be Canon Percival James. In the evening the Rev. F. P. de L. Willis will preach.

A Roll of Honour will be read at St. Alatthew’s, Wellesley Street, at 10.45 a.m., when a special Armistice Day service will be held. The “Last Post” and “Dead March” will be played and the National Anthem of the Allied Forces will be sung. The preacher will be Canon Grant Cowen, who also speaks in the evening.

The First Church of Christ, Scientist, will hold services as usual at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. A testimony meeting will be held on Wednesday evening.

A commemoration service will be held at the Spiritual Scinetists’ Church at 7 p.m., when Airs. HarrisRoberts will speak. An open meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Girl Guides, Rangers' and Brownies will parade at the 10.45 a.m. service at St. John’s, Ponsonby Road. The preacher will be the Rev. Arthur Mitchell, who will also speak in the evening. Air. Frank Sutherland will sing.

National hymns will be sung at the Grange Road Baptist Church at 10.45 a.m., when the Rev. A. S. Wilson will preach. The speaker at 7 p.m. will be the Rev. John Laird, of Alount Albert.

A spiritual circle, conducted by Airs. Hudson, will be held at the Progressive Spiritualists’ Church at 7 p.m. An open circle will be held on evening.

A special service will be held at the Alethodist Central Mission at 7 p.m.. when the Rev. C. G. Scrimgeour will preach on “The Kellogg Pact v. War.”

The general secretary will conduct a "free-and-easy” service, with songs at the Sunday afternoon service at the Y.M.C.A.

The International Bible Students’ Association will hold Bible study at 3.15 p.m., in the Alasonic Hall, and at 6.45 p.m. an address will be given.
