The Rotorua Orphans’ Club held the final evening of the 1928 season in Dixieland on Thursday evening, when ladies were present. There was a large attendance, visitors being present from Auckland, Hamilton, Morrinsville and Gisborne Clubs. Bro. W. Hill presided and welcomed the visiting brethren. Bro. An excellent musical programme was arranged by Bro. H. J. Sanders, items being given by the club’s orchestra, Messrs. G. Holder (Auckland), L. Echlin (Morrinsville), J. Battersby (Hamilton), Miss Jean Pearce and Mrs. Alcorn (Putaruru).
