MILITARY BOXING
TOURNAMENT STARTS TO-NIGHT The Auckland Military Sports Association’s annual boxing tournament commence in the Drill Hall, Rut!and Street, this evening, when the first of the elimination bouts will be f °ught. The semi-finals will be decided later in the week, and the finals next Saturday evening. Largo entries have been received and indications are that the tournament will be more successful than those Previous years. No doubt the reparation of the novices from the xperienced boxers, and the innovation * the two divisions has done much jo encourage the sport, and induced who would otherwise not have competed to try their skill in the ring.
