“WILD WEST ROMANCE” The striking mystical story' of Tibet. ; “The Devil Dancer,” will be shown at 1 the Prince Edward Theatre this even ing. Gilda Gray plays the role of the Devil Virgin, or the Devil Dancer, as she is known, and has taken the name of the real Devil Dancer, Takla, for that of the heroine. In the picture she executes an authentic Devil Dance. In the Bombay sequences of the picture. Miss Gray does the natuch dance of India, which has never before been shown on the screen. “Wild West Romance,” the second picture to be shown this evening, is a stirring Western story, with Rex Bell, the virile Western star.
“Glorious Betsy,” starring delightful Dolores Costello, beautiful, talented—beloved by thousands of picture-goers, will shortly be released in New Zealand. In all the history of motion pictures, no star has so quickly and completely captured the fancy of the film public as Dolores Costello. Her raro beauty and personal charm combined with genuine histrionic ability, have made her every picture release a box office event. “Glorious Betsy” exploits her talents to the utmost. It is the romantic story of Jerome Buonparte. brother to Napoleon, and “glorious” Metsy Paterson of Baltimore. Jerome Buonparte is played by Conrad Nagel.
