CONFERENCE OPENS TO-MORROW The annual conference of the New Zealand Grain, Seed and Produce Merchants’ Federation opens in Auckland to-morrow. Mr. Charles F. Rosser, of Auckland, will preside. Delegates will be present from Invercargill, Gore, Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, Ashburton, Christchurch, Blenheim, Wellington, Masterton, Palmerston Stratford, Hamilton and Auckland There are a large number of remits to deal with in relation to grades and grading of grain and produce, review of graders’ work during the past year, and consideration of their reappointment, trade terms between New Zealand and Australia, and seed terms with England, consideration of arbitration methods, store warrants, distribution of New Zealand grain samples to promote overseas trade, and marketing and shipping of produce generally. Delegates are expected to be free to return to the South on Friday evening.
