CASE FOR LABOUR
CONTEST IN BAY OF PLENTY Press Association GISBORNE, To-day. Mr. A. F. Moncur, Labour candidate for the Bay of Plenty, for which seat there has been no contest for many years, addressed the electors at Matawhero last evening-, speaking strong*;, in favour of a State bank, debt reduction and the Labour land policy. Mr. L. W. Coleman, Labour candidate for Gisborne, also spoke, claiming that Labour was essentially constitutional. Their land policy, they believe, would benefit the farmer and combat land aggregation. He spoke warmly garding housing conditions in the country, due largely to the inflow of immigrants brought in by the Government.
