A NARROW ESCAPE
FIREMEN GET CLEAR WHEN ROOF COLLAPSES BLAZE AT CHRISTCHURCH J Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. To-day. Three members of the Central Fire Brigade had a narrow escape from serious injury when, at midnight on Saturday, the main principals of the roof of the building - of J. Austin and Son. pottery •vorks, Byron Street. Sydenham, collapsed suddenly. The firemen, fortunately, got clear. When the brigade arrived th*' lire had a good hold. The damage is estimated at £4OO.
