ONE-ARMED AXEMAN FINED
DAMAGES HOUSE AND EFFECTS (From Our Own Correspondent.) TE PUKE, Monday. Described as the champion onearmed axeman of New Zealand. Duncan James McKenzie appeared in the Te Puke Police Court charged with committing mischief. Constable Jackson said McKenzie had arrived borne under the influence of liquor, m the absence of his wife and family, and had caused damage to the value of £6 13s to the house ancl furniture. McKenzie pleaded guiltv rnd was convicted and fined £2 on .-Micharge with £1 costs. He was ordered to make good the damage.
