ISLAND ORANGES DEAR

FIRST CALIFORNIAN GRAPES Small quantities of Californian grapes, the first of the ccasoq, will reach Auckland to-morrow, ex Wellington. A good demand is expected and regular shipments will follow. TSLAND oranges are in . light stock -*• and prices are rising. Lemons are easier. To-day, fair quantities of citrus fruits arrived from Sydney, and they will go on the benches by to-morrow. Repack bananas are in short supply and values are high. Apples are at last week’s rates, with a better demand for first-grade lines. Fruit sales are expected to be freer with the approach of warmer weather. All lines are well supplied in the vegetable market, with a keen demand The chief feature is the heavy quantities of cauliflower, which will be plentiful all the -week.
