CHANGES IN BUSINESS

KEMP’S, LTD., TO REMOVE 35 YEARS IN QUEEN STREET For 33 years, B. J. M. Kemp, Ltd., tailors and outfitters, have occupied premises on the comer of Queen Street and Swanson Street, but in a few weeks’ time the firm will shift its business to the two-storeyed building in Queen Street, adjoining the Auckland Stock Exchange,, the remodelling of which was commenced on Saturday. The building was vacated a few months ago by the National Inhurance Company. A modern shop front will be built and it is expected that the renovations will be completed in October. The buildings which the firm at present occupies was recently sold to a syndicate, and the lease will terminate shortly. The arrangements for further tenancy are not yet known. The two-storeyed brick building on the corner of Lome Street and Rutland Street, owned by Mr. G. Trevithick, has been sold to J. E. Sutcliffe, Ltd., manufacturers’ representatives, for £II,OOO. The building will be remodelled and a portion will be occupied by the new owners. * Mr. A. E. Bagnall has sold two blocks of shops in Dominion Road to Air. P. E. Tickle for £28.200. The buildings are both modern concrete structures.
