MORRIE BROWNLIE SETS THE FASHION IN SOUTH AFRICA
‘Who’s vour tailor. "Morrie?** asks a humorous South African writer, in commenting on the sartorial of Maurice
Brownlie, the All Black, captain. In more serious vein lie adds that the New Zealanders have created a splendid impression everywhere they i«*ir gentlemanly
have gone by their gentlemanly bearing. Brownlie himself is something or a connoisseur in clothing, and Hon Stewart. FTed Lucas, and Charlie Rushbrook also show sound discrimination in their selection of apparel. They are certainly a change from an All Black of other days who boarded the steamer at Wellington with his whole outfit packed up in a bright red pocket handkerchief!
