LEAGUE GAME IN N.Z. IS WASHOUT, DECLARES NEW SOUTH WALES MAN THE New Zealand Rugby League ought to have a word with Mr. Fiegg, of the N.S.W. League, j He is the gentleman who is reported to have made the statement at a meeting of the N.S.W. Rugby League on July 16 that “he had private information that the game in New Zealand was a ‘washout.’ ” This entertaining remark follows on the report of the decision of the governing body in Sydney not to send a representative to New Zealand during the visit of the Englishmen.
