ALTERATIONS IN LAW EMPIRE-WIDE APPLICATION (THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, To-day. The British Nationality and Status of Aliens Bill, read a first time in the Legislative Council, makes provision for the adoption of part 11. of the British Nationality and Status of Aliens Act, 1914 (English). Certificates of naturalisation already granted, or that may be granted in the United Kingdom or in any of the self-governing Dominions in acordance with part 11.. will be operative in New Zealand. The holders will, accordingly, continue when in New Zealand to be entitled to the privileges and to be subject to the obligations of Britlsn subjects. Certificates of naturali.sation granted In New Zealand after the commencement of the Act will confer on the holders the complete status of British subjects, a status which will not be forfeited by departure from New Zealand.
