CRUSHING A REVOLT
REBELS PUNISHED IN PORTUGAL (United P.A. — By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) Reed. 12.16 p.m. LISBON, Thursday. Officers, non-commissioned officers and civil servants who participated in the recent revolt have been sentenced to dismissal from the service and are liable to deportation to the colonies. Officers who did not oppose the revolt have been placed on half-pay. Persons who were found in possession of explosives have been deported to Timor.
