WHERE WOULD IT END?
COATLESS N.Z. DINERS TURNED AWAY LONDON, July 17. Attirecl ill belted trousers and immaculate silk shirts, with collar and tie complete, two New Zealanders, Mr. Geoffrey De Montalk and Mr. Douglas Glass, entered a West End restaurant. The restaurant manager refused to serve them. He admitted the two were neatly dressed, but stated that If he allowed them to disregard the conventions others less well-dressed might take off not only their coats and waistcoats, but their collars and ties as well.
