Fighting in Street. — Pleading guilty at the Police Court this morning to a charge of fighting in Customs Street last evening, William Reginald Heron, aged 25, was fined 10s.
Bus Driver Fined. —The driver of A motor-bus, J. A. Robertson, was fined £7 10s at Ngaruawahia yesterday for negligent driving. The case arose out of an accident at a level crossing when the bus, containing 18 passengers, capsized.
Avondale Arrests. —William Henry Colcord, aged 19, and John Charles Colcord, aged 30, who were arrested yesterday in connection with recent thefts at Avondale, were remanded until August 2 at the Police Court this morning.
Cyclist Hits Tram. —Mr. John Ross, ■gad 85k Vincent Street, rtestvsi concussion of the brain and head injuries when he collided with a tram as he was cycling out of Mountain Road into Khyber Pass, yesterday. He was admitted to hospital and is now progressing satisfactorily.
Pea-rifle Accident. While James ■ with a pea-rifle in a room containing several people, the weapon exploded and the bullet tore through some bedding and then deflected. It struck Mr, Tllston. ripping two fingers and ran down his shin-bone into the floor. Mr. Ill«ton received medical attention, and wns then able to return home.
