OVERTURNED IN SWAMP
About five miles south of Mercer yesterday afternoon a motor-lorry, owned and driven by Mr. R. C. Dickens, of Auckland, capsized into a swamp on the Rangiriri deviation. The lorry ran off the road on a bend and plunged over an embankment, finally overturning in the swamp. The driver managed to crawl out of the cab and escaped unhurt. He then made for a nearby whare, where workmen dried his pip thee for him,
