CHURCH MEETINGS
PROGRESS RECORDED IN YEAR’S ACTIVITIES
Reports from all departments submitted at the annual meeting of parishioners of the Belmont Presbyterian Church on Wednesday evening showed that in every activity of the church considerable progress had been made. Reviewing the increased membership the session clerk, Mr. Frazer, stated new members had joined. , T “ e church had been enlarged during ine year to provide double the former seating accommodation, and the Sunday rw* had been renovated. Electric ! l S"t had been installed in both buildmgs, funds being provided by the lady associates. The financial statement was considered highly satisfactory, in view of the heavy expenditure on additions and renovations, important work among the young people had been carried on, embracing numerous activities, including gymnastics, physical culture, swimming and life-saving. Increased attendances had been experienced in the Sunday school and the younger worshippers’ league had reached a membership of 42.
