The £ 500 bequeathed to the Rarnardo Homes will be forwarded to London. Mr."Kirkup, who was bom in New-castle-on-Tyne, came to New eZaland in search of health. He became interested. with Mr. J. Kenderdine. in a manufacturing business in Auckland. During the 1890 strike he was secretary of the Carters’ Union.
