DICKENS IN AMERICA
FELLOWSHIP DISCUSSION The Auckland branch of the Dickens Fellowship met last evening, when “Dickens and America” was the subject discussed. Mr. W. J. Scott ,wlio presided, referred to the portion of “Martin Chuzzlewit” dealing with the subject, and also the “American Notes.” Readings from the“ American Notes.” were given by Mr. J. E. Green and Air. Scott. Extracts from Forster’s “Life,” relating to the American visits, were read by Mr. W. D. Lusty. The next meeting of the Fellowship will discuss “Hard Times.”
