AUCKLAND UNION MEETS

INTER-ISLAND NOMINATIONS

A donation of £25 was made to Lh® Thames Rugby Union at a meeting of rhe Auckland Rugby Union Management Committee presided over by Mr. H. Frost last evening. A request for a game against one of rl ; c, city dubs was received from the Opotiki Union, and it was decided to make inquiries with a view to arranging a game. The Manukau Union forwarded a request for a match against a junior representative team and a senior club team. The matter was left in the hands of the chairman and secretary to arrange. St. Stephen's College made application to play a curtain-raiser in Auck.and against Wesley College, Paerata. The date of the game was fixed for August 11. The New Zealand Union wrote asking for nominations of Auckland repre--entative players for the North Island team, and the question was referred to the selector. W.
