BUSY FERRIES
Sir, — Mr. Bailey is still delightfully vague when referring to overcrowded ferries. He says he feels quite safe In characterising my figures are ridiculous, and talks of an official count If he has official figures of the actual number of passengers on the 5.10 p.m. boat let him produce them, and I will be pleased to bok to his superior knowledge. I say positively that people do crowd on the top deck directly they embark, and remain there I _ , ' !s A of spreading themselves over the boat, and that the crowding on that deck IS not confined to the disembarking period. In conclusion I have no axe to grind of any kind, let alone a blunt one. I use the 5.10 p.m. boat regularly, and am not in the happy position of being able at all times to TAKE IT EASY.
