50 YEARS’ SUNDAY SCHOOL WORK
DIPLOMA FOR SUPERINTENDENT A reunion of old scholars of the Newton Congregational Sunday School, Edinburgh Street, will be held on Tuesday evening to present the golden diploma of the British National Sunday School Union to Mr. F. Rowe, the present superintendent, who has completed 50 years of service. The High Commissioner, Sir James Parr, an old scholar of the school, has written expressing pleasure at Mr. Rowe’s award. The Rev. F. A. Thompson, president of the Auckland Sunday School Union, will take the chair and Mr. Enoch Wood, one of the founders of the school, the Rev. L. B. Busfield and Mr. J. Bouskill will speak.
