WOUNDED AT MONS
SHELL FRAGMENT JUST REMOVED Captain the Hon. P.upert Keppel, i youngest son of the Earl of Albemarle. I and nephew of Sir Derek Keppel, | Master of the King’s Household, has just undergone an operation for the; removal of a fragment of shell with j which he was hit 14 years ago. He was wounded at the beginning of the Mons retreat, when he was with the Coldstream Guards. About two months ago he was operated on in London, and a piece of shell was removed from his leg. Another piece is still lodged in the leg, and it is to remove this that the second operation will take place.
