After a retirement of nearly tv > hours to-day the Compensation Court consisting of Mr. Justice Reed nn< Messrs. J. M. Dale and C- J. S. Har court (assessors'*, awarded i^S.50 1 damages to Millars West Australia Hardwoods Company. Ltd., who claimo, £9.107 compensation from the Well ington City Corporation for six acre of land taken by the corporation fo recreation purposes at Miramar. In awarding the compensation to th claimant, his Honour said that it wa the unanimous judgment of the Court The assessors' fees wore fixed at C guineas a day each for three days Costs amounting to £126 were mad' in favour of the claimant, the corpora tion also to pay the claimant’s asses sors’ fees.
