FLATS ON FIRE
THREE ROOMS DAMAGED Three rooms of a block of four fiats at 2a Wairiki Road, Mount Eden, were damaged by a fire which broke out a few minutes after 7.30 last evening. The Mount Eden Brigade was called out and prevented the flames from spreading through the building. Three of the flats, which are owned by Mr. G. R. Hosking, of St. Mark’s Road, Remuera, were vacant at the time, the fourth being occupied by Mr. A. F. Davis. The blaze began in the occupied portion, where an open fire had been left unattended. The furniture was damaged by smoke and water.
