NEW HALL NEARING COMPLETION MODEL CONCERT CHAMBER Now rapidly nearing completion, the new assembly hall at the Auckland Technical College will prove a valuable addition to that institution. Of ample size and equipped with all conveniences, it will be a model concert hall. Although probably not possessing the same length as the Town Hall Concert Chamber, the college hall is wider, and with a gallery the width of the room should seat at least the same number as the municipal hall. An exceptionally wide stage will be well suited to the requirements of the college, providing as it -will ample accommodation for a large number of students. The dressing-rooms are placed under the stage and are divided into two separate suites. Although plainly furnished, they are well equipped with all conveniences and space, that all important consideration, has not been cramped. The interior has been finished in plaster of a soft grey, and pleasing effects have been obtained without unnecessary embellishments. Ttee design throughout is in perfect harmony with the remainder of the college buildings, the available space also being utilised to the utmost advantage. The hall will undoubtedly find frequent use, and assist largely in the efficient carrying out of the college work.
