BULLDOG SHOW
SECOND ANNUAL FIXTURE AUCKLAND CLUB’S SUCCESS The Auckland Bulldog Club, the premier club of its kind in New Zealand, held its second annual show at the Orange Hall on Saturday afternoon. Twenty splendid specimens were exhibited. Three pups, the first to reach the age of 18 months, were greatly admired, as almost all of the pups born in Auckland have died. Mrs. A. L. Desgrange’s Franco Punch, considered the best New Zea-land-bred dog in the open class, was awarded the British Bulldog Club’s silver model bulldog. The bronze model was awarded to Mr. E. Yates’s Olyn Taff Judy, as the best New Zea-land-bred bitch in the open class. Mr. J. B. Wainscott’s Bonnie Jock was the winner of the Mauveen Cup for the best dog or bitch in the show, and also awarded the prize for being the best limit dog. Mr. Yates’s Olyn Taff Judy won the Mayhurst Duchess Cup as the best New Zealand bitch under three years. It was also awarded the Mayville Cup and three other prizes. Mr. J. B. Wainscott’s Bonnie Bonzo carried off the first prizes for the best junior .and maiden dog in the show. The same owner’s Bonnie Girl was the winner in the best bitch puppy and the best maiden bitch. Mr. W. Willis’s Prince Mac was awarded the best novice dog in the show, Mr. W. J. Dunn’s Armadale Nanette the best novice bitch, and Mr. J. Kerr’s Ambassador Prince the best colonial-bred dog in the show. Other awards were; Dogs.—Puppy, under six months: J. B. Wainscott, 1. Under 12 months: J. B. Wainscott. 1. Junior: J. B. Wainscott, I.
